Novel-Writing Workshop with Martin Gries and Isabel Abedi
For anyone working on longer pieces, this is about character development, plotting, and world-building.
Do you have dozens of unfinished novel openings gathering dust in your desk drawer? Do you have this wonderful world in your head but just can’t seem to put it down on paper? Do you have this character you want to get to know better—or whom you already know better than your friends?
Sometimes it’s not easy to motivate yourself to write at home. You have the desire to write, but then something always gets in the way. Deep down, you know there’s a novelist, a poet, or a slam poet inside you. But then the bed is too cozy, the desk too cluttered, the garden too sunny, the rain too wet.
At the writing camp, we’ll meet up and write together. We come together again and again to share what we’ve written with each other. This way, you can get feedback while you’re writing and ask your audience questions.
On the third day, Isabel Abedi will be our guest for a novel consultation session.
Both authors have already been nominated for the German Youth Literature Prize.
