Counterfeiting workshop for the Reich Freedom Privilege II

The Lübeck City Archives is offering this workshop as part of the special exhibition “Quite Privileged” at the Burgkloster.
We’ll walk you through the special exhibition and explain why the Imperial Charter of 1226 is still such a remarkable document even after 800 years.
Afterward, you can write your own document with a quill and ink and cast a wax seal for it.
We’ll also show you how “forgers” today make a document look older than it actually is.
