Up-close bee and insect expeditions! II
Alternative dates:
Did you know that bumblebees are actually bees, too?
That solitary wild bees seal their offspring inside their nests, where they remain until the following spring?
That virtually every wild bee has what’s known as a “cuckoo bee”?
Would you also like to meet some truly crazy insects—colorful, sometimes well-camouflaged and almost invisible—and completely harmless?
You can experience these and many more curious facts and phenomena from the fascinating lives of bees and other exciting insects up close in the school garden during our free Bee & Insect Expeditions! You can also visit our awesome “bee hotel” and try out an interesting bee game! Silke Wiegand, a certified biologist, will share exciting insights into the world of these little crawlers through fun and games—as long as you live in Lübeck. During a short break, feel free to treat yourself to all kinds of delicacies in our wonderful café under the palm trees!
